Le Marche, a region in the centre of Italy, it is situated near the Adriatic sea and It occupies 9.694 km of Italian territory. It takes the form of an irregular pentagon and is more or less vertical from north to south. The region is dominated by hills, 68,8% of the territory, while the remaining 31,2% is formed by mountains.
The coast is lined with long sandy beaches, except for Monte Conero, that represents the highest point of the coast. The other two reliefs from the coast are the two hills that limit the city of Pesaro: il colle San Bartolo and il colle dell\'Ardizio.
As you move inland the beauty of the country side extends for 200 km from north to south. Sweet and Lovely are the two adjectives that describe the magnificence of this place, that the eye will never forget.
The Apennine zone does not have very elevated mountains , the more elevated group are the lovely Sibbilini, in between the provinces of Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, of which Monte Vettore (m. 2478) padroneggia. Other important mountains are: Monte Nerone (m. 1526), Monte Catria (m. 1702), Monte San Vicino (m. 1479), Monte Pennino (m. 1570), Monte Rotondo (m. 2103), Monte Fema (m. 1575), Monte Priore (m. 2334), Monte Bove (m. 2143), Monte Sibilla (m. 2175), Monte Vallelunga (m. 2221), Monte Porche (m. 2335), Monte Argentella (m. 2201).
The climate is varied, with changes of temperature from season to season: hot summers, but refreshed by the breeze from the seas, cold winters with seasonal rain. In the mountain zone, fresh summers and cold winters with a big possibility of snow.
